Terms of Service

    Last updated: May 2026

Welcome to Skoute.ai ("Skoute", "we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website at skoute.ai and the Skoute product research application (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

    1. About Skoute

Skoute is a SaaS product research tool. You paste a product URL and we return scraped product data alongside an automated scorecard and verdict generated by AI models, designed to help dropshippers and ecommerce operators decide what to test next. The Service is informational and is meant to support, not replace, your own judgment.

    2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use Skoute. When you create an account you agree to:

    • Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
    • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential.
    • Be responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
    • Notify us promptly at support@skoute.ai if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts at our reasonable discretion, including for violations of these Terms.

    3. Credits, purchases, and refunds

Skoute is sold on a pay-as-you-go basis. You purchase credits one-time (either as a credit pack or as a custom quantity) and spend 1 credit per product analysis. There is no recurring subscription and nothing renews automatically.

    • Free credits. New accounts receive a small number of free credits on signup, with no payment method required.
    • One-time purchases. Additional credits are bought as one-time charges at the prices shown at checkout. No subscription, no recurring billing.
    • Credit validity. Purchased credits remain valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Unused credits past that window may expire.
    • Refunds. Refunds are governed by our Refunds and Cancellation Policy.
    • Taxes. Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for any taxes owed on your purchase.
    • Price changes. We may change pricing with reasonable advance notice. Changes apply only to purchases made after the change takes effect.

    4. License to use the Service

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your internal business or personal product research purposes.

    You agree not to:

    • Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service.
    • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code or AI models.
    • Resell, rent, sublicense, or otherwise commercialize the Service or its outputs as a standalone product.
    • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to extract data from the Service beyond officially supported features.
    • Bypass rate limits, access controls, or usage quotas.
    • Use the Service to build a competing product or to train competing AI models.

    5. User content and feedback

"User Content" means anything you submit to or create within the Service (URLs you analyze, notes, tags, uploads, custom fields, saved lists, messages to support, and similar) as well as public content you create about Skoute on social platforms (tweets, posts, Reels, TikToks, YouTube videos, blog posts, etc.) that mentions Skoute or uses our handles, tags, or branding.

    5.1 Ownership

You retain all ownership rights in your User Content. We do not claim ownership of anything you create.

    5.2 License you grant us

You grant Skoute a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, host, store, reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, and display your User Content for the purposes of:

    • Operating, maintaining, securing, and improving the Service (including training internal evaluation systems on aggregated, de-identified data).
    • Providing support and communicating with you.
    • Marketing and promoting Skoute, including reposting, quoting, embedding, screenshotting, or featuring public social content that mentions Skoute or uses our tags or handles, on our website, social channels, ads, decks, landing pages, and similar materials.

5.3 How we'll treat your content

    • We will not misrepresent what you said or take it materially out of context.
    • We may edit for length, clarity, or format without changing the meaning.
    • You can ask us to stop using your content going forward by emailing support@skoute.ai. We are not required to pull or recall materials that have already been published, printed, or distributed.

    5.4 Your warranties

You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to your User Content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights or violate any law.

    5.5 Feedback

If you send us suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use it without restriction or compensation to you.

    6. Use of names and logos (social proof)

When you sign up for Skoute and/or otherwise consent (for example via a checkbox during onboarding, a written email, or a separate agreement), you grant Skoute a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use your company name, store name, logo, and wordmark to identify you as a Skoute customer in marketing materials, including our website (such as logo rows), case studies, sales decks, landing pages, ads, and social media.

    • You retain all ownership rights in your names, logos, and marks.
    • We will follow any reasonable brand-use guidelines you provide in writing.
    • You may revoke this permission at any time by emailing support@skoute.ai. We will remove your name and logo from new materials within a reasonable timeframe (typically 30 days) but are not required to recall already printed, shipped, cached, or third-party-hosted assets.

    7. Intellectual property

Skoute and the Service, including all software, models, designs, logos, branding, copy, scoring rubrics, and content (excluding User Content), are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to you. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

    8. Acceptable use and prohibited activities

You agree not to use the Service to:

    • Violate any law or third-party right, including intellectual property and privacy rights.
    • Submit URLs or content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, or harmful.
    • Research or promote counterfeit, unsafe, or otherwise restricted products.
    • Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems.
    • Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
    • Harass, abuse, or harm other users or our team.
    • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.

See our Acceptable Use Policy for further detail. Violation may result in suspension or termination without refund.

    9. Third-party services and links

The Service fetches publicly available product information from third-party sites (such as Shopify storefronts) and may integrate with third-party providers (for example, payment processors and AI providers). We do not own or control third-party content or services and make no warranty about their accuracy, availability, or legality. Your use of any third-party service is governed by that provider's terms.

    10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Skoute scores, verdicts, selling angles, and recommendations are estimates produced by automated scraping and AI models. They are not guarantees of sales, ad performance, profitability, or any other business outcome. You are solely responsible for the products you choose to test, the ads you run, the suppliers you work with, and your legal and tax obligations. Skoute does not provide financial, legal, tax, or business advice.

    11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skoute and its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost ad spend, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $100.

    12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Skoute and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your User Content, (b) your use or misuse of the Service, (c) your violation of these Terms, or (d) your violation of any law or third-party right.

    13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. Unused credits remain on your account subject to the validity window described above. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. On termination, your right to access the Service ends, but the sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive (including ownership, licenses you grant us, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

    14. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Skoute is established, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. You and Skoute agree to first try to resolve any dispute informally by emailing support@skoute.ai. If we cannot resolve it within 60 days, any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable consumer protection laws give you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

    15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or in-app notice) before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

    16. Miscellaneous

    • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our other posted policies, are the entire agreement between you and Skoute regarding the Service.
    • Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder will remain in effect.
    • No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right.
    • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
